What is a Horoscope?
A Horoscope is really a diagram that depicts the position of the planets in relation to the earth at the time of birth of an individual, or even the time of a specific event. A skilled Astrologer interprets the positions of these planets and their relation to the 12 Astrological signs of the Zodiac. Each planet has meaning, as do each of the zodiac elements. These meanings and their interpretation is an art that is several thousand years old and based on long observation. The position of the planets has also been subject to long observation and can be predicted for past present and future.
Moon in Aries
Impatient, with the need to act now and think later. You will find it hard to understand another's opposing view as the Aries characteristics will put you ahead and first. You need to do things your way, and now, if at all possible. You are quick thinking, with a love of the instantaneous, and get bored with minor practical details. You are straight, with no hidden agenda. What you see is what you get but you have a wonderfully warm heart, which spreads out to those in the world who need comfort.
Moon in Taurus
Sexy and sensual, the Venus ruled sign of Taurus luxuriates in the tactile and sensuous. You are generally emotionally stable and strong, forming loyal bonds of friendship. Any change can be seen as a threat, as stability and continuity are vital, bringing a desire for traditional values and outmoded ways of being. Sometimes, a perceived threat can bring out your jealous side, as you will do anything to preserve what you already have. You are even known to test relationships to see if they stand up to a challenge. You just have to feel very secure! And you will put up with more than most, rather than give up at the first hurdle.

Nervous, witty and changeable, you thrive on communication and the cut and thrust of the social world. Boredom is something you will not tolerate, and a changing lifestyle suits you fine. Sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down, but wherever you are you won't be there long. The spoken word is your main means of relating and you are able to come up with the perfect put-down as well as impress others with your cleverness and wit. Working in media and travel is perfect for you, as well as sales. You could push yourself too hard and feel exhausted when you have overdone the partying, But after a brief respite, you are ready to go headlong into the world again. You are unlikely to be happy with your own company for very long.

Sympathetic, kind and compassionate you are sensitive to others' feelings and are drawn to the underdogs, and downtrodden in society. A hard luck story wins you over every time, and it's as well to carry a box of tissues with you. Your emotions rear up at every opportunity, whether it's love, fear, grief or joy. Nothing is half hearted for you. A psychic sensitivity can be a blessing or a curse, as you pick up atmospheres so easily. Sometimes, you expect others to see and feel the world as you do, and nothing is worse than having your poor sensitive heart ignored as you feel hurt and rejected by other less sensitive souls. You keep memento's of your life from the first four leaf clover you found, to the battered photo of your fist love, all tied up with pink ribbon.

You are a natural leader, and exude energy and drive. You are generous, encouraging and optimistic and have a grandiose sense of style. Nothing is done in half measures when you're around, and you set high standards for others as well as yourself. You like to make a statement, and don't like the idea of being ignored. Drama allows you to express yourself and if life is a little dull, then you are brilliant at creating a one act play to put everyone on their toes. You love excitement and action, and can be fabulously romantic, but you expect the works in return. You will not tolerate ingratitude but warm to your loved one's response if they are suitably impressed by your wonderful nature.

You are sociable, logical, clear headed and always seem to be busy organising and arranging the next big event. Although you work well behind the scenes, unlike the Leo Moons, you will sometimes have a strong social conscience and will question the status quo, not accepting things at their face value. Your sign is ruled by Mercury, so communication is vital, particularly if it involves facts and information rather than dreamy philosophies. You have a strong personal code of conduct and set high standards, regarding loyalties towards friends and loved ones. Even though you may not actually write lists, you have the ability to think through the scenarios in your life into a logical order, rather than firefighting when trouble hits. You plan ahead for all eventualities in a clear logical way.

You can be charming and creative, looking for both harmony and excitement. Your diplomacy skills are beyond question but your ability to see both sides can sometimes leave you sitting on the fence. Hence the need for great negotiating skills to get yourself out of a tight corner. You love to initiate new projects but can get bored when the first excitement wears off and you will cast around for the next thing to be involved in. A trail of broken hearts could lie in your wake as you charm, conquer and retreat. But you do have the ability to be a peace maker when others are locked in dispute. You can see both sides and perceive the underlying tensions. Not only that, you are able to articulate you findings beautifully.

You are able to inspire others as you will not shirk in the face of unpleasant situations and can speak up for the underdog. But you keep many emotions under wraps, and others can be unaware of your true feelings until you let rip at the last straw. Time alone is important for you to process your feelings and come to terms with some of the injustices of the world. You are no lightweight ,superficial, social animal but you have a strong moral conscience. When tragedy hits, you are a survivor and will return scarred but ready to face life again. You love independence, the freedom of your spirit, and do not like to be trapped either physically, intellectually or emotionally. You are adaptable and attract many friends who warm to your gregarious nature. You have a need to keep moving, and exploring different views and ways of being. You are not necessarily materialistic and experience counts more than the acquisition of objects, although you may be driven to spending your hard on earned cash on travelling. You are a firm believer in justice and fair play and will help out anyone who is need, or who has been unfairly treated. You only fault is that you could be too optimistic and have to learn a realistic approach through experience and life's lessons.
Moon in Capricorn
You have an earthy practicality, giving dependence and a sense of responsibility towards those around you. You are enduring and brave and do not shrink from less than pleasant tasks, if you see a sense of duty. You could be a little shy or reserved and will not be given to spontaneous outburst of emotion. Later in life, you appear cool and in control, and with your life stretching before you as a series of planned events and expectations. You could be loyal and unswerving when you eventually give your heart to someone else, and will stick around when others have given up, You fear humiliation and will carry around a hurt or slight long after the incident has been forgotten by everyone else. You have dignity and tenacity and a realistic vision of the world as it really is, not as others expect it to be.
Moon in Aquarius
You are cool, humanitarian and idealistic. You are able to care for the global village but could be a little detached when it comes to those closer to home, paradoxically. You have integrity and honesty and cannot be accused of double dealing or cheating. You will tell it like it is, even though the truth may hurt, because the truth matters whatever the cost. You have your own set of moral standards which may not coincide with society's and your friends and acquaintances come from a broad spectrum. Sacrifice is a word associated with this moon sign. If someone else's need is perceived to be greater than yours, then you willingly will give away all that you have, and quite often what other's have to, without always checking if its okay! Creativity is strong, and a desire to make the world a better place drives you forward. Indeed you hate ugliness and disharmony in any form. Psychic awareness is strong and you have the ability to pick up on subtle signs and signals that others miss. There is a danger to become a martyr, and let your needs fade into insignificance, and conversely the opposite could be true in some cases, in that your world, your life, your vision becomes all encompassing. Boundaries are hard to define with this moon sign and they can be accused of getting involved in other people's problems, sorting the world out ,without asking. Toes can get trodden on!
